It’s time for the 12th annual Car Free Day Vancouver!

This festival celebrates neighbourhoods and reconnects communities while nurturing and expanding car-free spaces.

That means large chunks of the West End, Main Street and Commercial Drive will be pedestrian only this weekend impacting bus service to these areas.

Weekend detours:

Effective June 18 from 9am until 8:30pm

5 Robson/6 Downtown Regular route to Robson and Denman then via Denman, Georgia, Burrard, Davie then regular route (as 6 Downtown).
6 Davie/5 Downtown Regular route to Davie & Burrard then via Burrard, Georgia, Denman, Robson then regular route (as 5 Downtown).
C21 Beach Regular route to Beach & Davie then via Davie, Cardero, Pendrell, Bidwell, Davie to Temporary Terminus at Bidwell.
C21 Yaletown From Temporary Terminus continue on Davie then via Denman then regular route.
C23 Davie Regular route to Davie & Cardero then via Cardero, Pendrell, Bidwell, Davie to temporary terminus at Bidwell.


Effective June 19 from 8am until 10pm

3 Main Regular route to Main & Kingsway then via, Kingsway, Fraser, 33 Ave, Main, regular route.
3 Downtown Regular route to Main & 33 Ave, then via 33 Ave, Fraser, Kingsway, Main, regular route.


Effective June 19 from 8am until 8:30pm

20 Victoria Regular route to Commercial & Venables, then via Venables, Clark, Broadway, Commercial, regular route.
20 Downtown Regular route to Commercial & Broadway, then via Broadway, Clark, Venables, Commercial, regular route.
