The Transit Network Review Report is here!

Cover page
Back in February, we asked you, our riders and neighbours to weigh in on some proposed new bus routes in Silver Valley, Clayton Heights and Morgan Creek communities as well as changes to the 159 and 169 in Port Coquitlam–South Coquitlam.

We heard from more than 1,600 people through the online survey and in-person events!

Based on your feedback during this consultation period, we are moving forward with service to three new areas that aren’t currently served by transit: Silver Valley (Maple Ridge), Clayton Heights (Surrey) and Morgan Creek (South Surrey).

However, listening to our customers, we will not go ahead with the proposed changes to the 159 and 169. Instead, using your feedback, the 159 will be extended to Coquitlam Central Station. Extending the 159 to Coquitlam Central Station will achieve a faster travel time for Port Coquitlam residents to SkyTrain without creating significant negative impacts for existing 159 and 169 customers.

These changes will be implemented as part of our fall Service Changes in September 2017.

You can read the full report here.

How do we consult with the public?

Working with you, our riders, customers and neighbours is an important part of planning the transit network. All the feedback that we hear from you helps inform decisions for bus routes, schedules and more.

We collect input from the public on an on-going basis outside of consultations like these PLUS lots of in-person events where you can come out and talk to our planners and staff.

If you have something to say, we’re listening!
You can provide feedback about all transit-related topics through Customer Information at
604.953.3333 or feedback.translink.ca.
