June 1 is National Doughnut Day. With so many options in Metro Vancouver, it can be tough to begin figuring out where to go to begin satisfy your sweet tooth—especially near transit.

Doughnut worry fam, we got you! Here are nine epic transit-friendly places to get doughnuts in Metro Vancouver:

1. Krispy Kreme

This mom-and-pop shop is an East Vancouver institution that’s famous for its eclectic mix of food offerings. Everything from fried chicken and torta subs to Vietnamese subs and bubble tea. Open 24 hours, it’s there when you need it most like when you need your donut fix on National Doughnut Day!

5. Honey Doughnuts & Goodies

Nestled in the heart of Deep Cove, this doughnut shop has earned rave reviews from Hollywood celebrities like Kate Winslet. On National Doughnut Day, make sure you stop by for a legendary Roly Poly and you might just end up rubbing shoulders with Kate and other Hollywood celebs. Cap off your time in Deep Cove with a hike up to Insta-famous Quarry Rock.

6. Cartems Donuts

No doubt a Vancouver classic—you’re bound to find a doughnut there that you didn’t know you needed in your life. National Doughnut Day will be a busy day for Cartems, so make sure you get there early! They make their donuts fresh every day, so they may sell out before close.

7. 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters & Lucky’s Doughnuts

A great coffee goes with a great doughnut. Lucky’s Doughnuts, a project of 49th Parallel Coffee Roaster, is the place to have the best of both! Word at the TransLink office is that if you only try one donut tomorrow at 49th Parallel, it’s the Classic Old fashioned…although the PB & J Square doughnut is also an office favourite.

8. Swiss Bakery

Tucked away just off of Main Street, this bakery offers Vancouver’s first “cronut”—a delicious cross between a flaky croissant and a deep fried doughnut, filled with a delicate cream, which they have aptly named the “frissant” in house. These pastry hybrids are a mouthwatering must-try for National Doughnut Day. You won’t forget your first cronut.

9. El Furniture Warehouse – Hastings

Location: 156 W Hastings St, Vancouver, BC V6B 1G8
Hours: 11 a.m.–2 a.m.
Transit: 3, 8, 14, 16, 20, 95 B-Line, Expo Line to Stadium–Chinatown Station

A $5.95 food menu, all day and every day—this is one of the best places to go for cheap eats in Vancouver. As if you need another reason to go: mini doughnuts with toffee-espresso dipping sauce. ?
