It’s road race season once again here in Metro Vancouver, with the BMO Vancouver Marathon  taking place this Sunday, May 6th.

The international marathon is the second largest in Canada and consists of two separate races:

  • First half marathon – (route) — Cambie and King Edward North towards Downtown Core
  • Full marathon – (route) — Cambie – King Edward South to 49 Ave West towards UBC North towards Downtown core finish line at Convention Centre

This means that there will be a number of bus reroutes in place due to road closures. Whether you’re a walker, runner, or a spectator, we’ve got all the info you will need to help keep you moving this weekend.

Due to the race route, the following bus routes will be modified:

2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 19, 22, 23, 25, 33, 41, 49, 68, 70, 84, 99, 210, 211, 240, and 246.

SkyTrain service will operate a normal Sunday schedule with additional trains available if needed. Canada Line will operate a normal schedule with 16 trains in service, increasing to 18 trains at 9:30am. Additional trains will be available if needed.
