Yes, the donation boxes beside the driver DO take pennies. At least they did on Friday. Just be gentle and deposit them slowly.

The bus transfer machines take pennies. Or at least they used to. I found a penny at a stop once so I picked it up and plunked it in the machine for fun, and the machine counted it no problem.

I’m not a big fan of fare increases, but I will request any increases be rounded to the nearest or up to 25 cents.

I hate carrying nickels and dimes. In addition the machines don’t take pennies.

It’s not that much…according to the $130mil plan, it is supposed to be 1-zone 10 faresavers up to $21 (from $19), consession 10 faresavers up to $17 (from $16), 1-zone adult passes to $81 (from $73) and concession passes to $46.50 (from $42) on April 1st 2010, if nothing else has been amended from that plan.
