They are shipping all but 20 of the bikes back to the Netherlands — there was some kerfuffle with import taxes and the like. The 20 remaining bikes are being donated to a local Richmond charity (I think: they’re being donated to somebody, at the very least).

Did the Dutch win a gold medal that day? If so, I hear it is customary for a visiting country house make their services exclusive to their national visitors to celebrate the day’s accomplishment.

Hello,
I stopped by the Richmond OZone yesterday (Sunday February 14, 2010) and was advised that the bikes are now only available to those with a Dutch passport. So sad. :(
