Speaking of celebrity sightings. I saw Sandra Oh and katherine Heigl at Live city Yaletown that was really cool. I completely forgot to get a photo but yet it was still really cool. Looking forward to other sightings in the days ahead!

I too was memorized by the broadcast, but for a different reason. I went to the Wednesday rehearsal and seeing it on TV was better than being there (no echoes and great sight lines). Perhaps seeing it in 1080 HD made a huge difference. I recently added an ATSC antenna and get free HD CTV Olympic broadcasts from the North Shore tower.

For those that missed the show. You can go to the CTV website to relive the moment. The website link is.... www[dot]ctvolympics[dot]ca/video/collections/collectionid=40427/index[dot]html You can even see the pre-show that was not broadcasted.

What do others think about the final torch run to light the external caldron? Does it remind you of Survivor's Jeff Provost with the vote barrel at the end of each season where he takes it from a remote location and magically appears at a US TV studio? I was waiting to see Gretzky getting a helicopter ride or a trip on Skytrain with the flame.

Anyways, for those that didn't know, Sunday is "BC Day" at the Olympics.

Despite being unable to take part in the opening ceremonies, I managed to watch the whole event while I was at home and I was amazed and awed and I am so proud of this great nation we call home "Canada!".
From the dazzling performances by the Four Host Nations to the cultural performances, and vast stories being told about Canada from coast to coast, Magic has filled at BC Place, Metro Vancouver, and all of Canada! This was one of the best opening ceremonies I have seen in my lifetime, and our nation has put up a spectacular show!

GO CANADA GO!!
