Hey, if you haven’t seen the ads in your local papers yet, you’re invited to a sneak peek of a Canada Line station tomorrow — Lansdowne Station in Richmond!

Come down to the station between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Thursday, Apr. 9. You’ll get to see the inside of the station, and two trains will be on hand so you can check those out too. (Here’s the full newspaper ad if you want to see it.)

And if you can’t make this event, here’s a bit of comfort: this is only the first of four Canada Line open houses planned for this summer. (The dates are still up in the air — I’ll let you know as soon as I know about them.)

A really important note now: you’ve got to dress accordingly for this event. Lansdowne Station area is still an active construction site, so we’d really like you to wear comfortable, casual and warm clothing, and flat closed-toe shoes. Please stick to all safety guidelines and use extra care and attention while on site.

Lansdowne Station is located on No. 3 Road at Lansdowne Road in Richmond. The event will be fully accessible for those with disabilities, and parking for the disabled will be available at the southeast side of the station. General onsite parking for this event is also located at the southeast side of the station provided by Lansdowne Mall.

InTransitBC sends out a hearty thanks to the Richmond community for their support during construction, and also says that you can visit their website if you’d like to sign up to receive updates.

Also, sadly, I’m going to miss this event, but David Lam from Trans-Vancouver photos has told me he’ll be there, and you might want to check his site for pictures later!
