Open house for a new Walnut Grove transit exchange and park & ride, Tue Mar 8, 2011

For all those who might be interested: we’re co-hosting an open house on a new transit exchange and park & ride facility in Walnut Grove. Here are the details!

Tuesday, March 8, 2011
6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Langley Event Centre
Banquet Hall, Second Floor
7888-200 Street, Langley

And here’s what I’m told about the project and the open house:

TransLink, the Provincial Government and the Township of Langley are working together to provide a new transit exchange and park & ride facility in Walnut Grove in conjunction with the New Port Mann Bridge opening in 2012. Located just south of Highway 1 at 202nd Street and 86th Avenue, the new facility will enable a significant increase in both transit and park & ride services. Approximately 800 spaces will be available, a significant increase to the current 175 designated spaces shared with the Langley SportsPlex parkade.

On March 8, 2011, TransLink, the Township of Langley and TI Corp* and will be hosting an open house to provide information about the park & ride and transit exchange. Please come out to learn more about the project and ask any questions you may have.

*The Port Mann/Highway 1 Improvement Project is part of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure’s Gateway Program which is being delivered by Transportation Investment Corporation (TI Corp).

Please pass this along to anyone you think might be interested! You can also keep an eye on all the info about this project on our website. And feel free to ask questions: I will do my best to get you answers, as always :)
