Happy Canada Day this weekend, everyone!

As Canada Day 2012 falls on a Sunday this year, everyone will also enjoy a holiday on Monday, July 2, 2012. So transit will be on a Sunday/holiday schedule for both Sunday and Monday, July 1-2, 2012.

However, we’re also running extra service to get you to the Canada Day events around the Lower Mainland this weekend. Check out our Holiday Service page for all the details on additional SkyTrain, SeaBus, and bus service.

(Transit fans: I’m also told that there will be a full size model of a Flexity Streetcar in Cloverdale and Vancouver on Canada Day and the week following. See Spacing Vancouver’s post for more info!)

And service returns to regular weekday schedules for all modes on Tuesday, July 3, 2012.

Remember: holiday fares and group travel offer

Remember, on a holiday you only need a one-zone fare to travel across all zones!

As well, you can take advantage of our group travel offer on all Sundays and holidays. One adult who carries either a single Adult FareCard, West Coast Express 28-day Pass, or Annual Employer Transit Pass can take one adult plus up to four children with them for free. (The offer doesn’t apply to concession passes.)
