Buzzer illustrator interview: Rory O’Sullivan

Rory and his Buzzer illustration
Rory and his work!

Here’s our long-awaited interview with May 31, 2013 Buzzer newsletter illustrator Rory O’Sullivan. We were super pleased to have Rory make our summer issue really speak to the season. That big orange sun really warms our hearts!

Who are you and what do you like to do?

I’m Rory O’Sullivan and I’m a designer and illustrator. When I’m not doing either of those I like to write, record and play music. And when I’m not doing that I like to sit quietly in a dark room.

Do you take transit? If so, what’s your favourite route/mode of public transit?

I can be found on pretty much any bus travelling Main Street and also frequent the Canada Line. My favorite station is Waterfront.

What can we expect from you in the years to come?

I’m working on a couple children’s books – one of which will be out this fall. You can see my design and illustration work at roryosullivan.com and hear some music at elizabethelizabeth.ca.

Haven’t picked up the issue yet? You can always download it as a .pdf or pick it up on the bus, SkyTrain or SeaBus.
