DOO DOO DOO, this is an Expo Line train to…. #MyTransLink! This week, our fun photo series was looking for your shots of Metro Vancouver’s first SkyTrain line, the Expo Line. Each week, we showcase your best shots of transit life in and around our region. Take a look at the week that was and scroll to the bottom to grab the theme for the upcoming week.

#MyTransLink: SkyTrain Expo Line in Extar 100 Tones Well since the MyTransLink pipeline, er theme, this week is the #ExpoLine… figured I’d postprocess one of my recent #SkyTrain Expo Line Mk 1 train photos taken down in #Granville Station back to the days of film. Like Kodak Extar 100, which like SkyTrain came out in the 1980s. Sure am hoping to see a lot of Mk III trains in the MyTransLink contest submissions though, but as one of the few transit photographers who even postprocesses my images decided to add some historical tint to the feed. Although the Mk 1s are rather, er, snug… they’re also rather nice traveling history lessons of SkyTrain’s modest beginnings in moving folks around Metro Vancouver. #GranvilleStation #LightRail #MassTransit #PublicTransit #RetroPhotography #Vancouver #VancouverBC #BritishColumbia #CanadianTransit #Transit #Canada #VancouverBritishColumbia #postprocessing #DiscoverVancouver #VancouverIsAwesome #TransLinkBC #TransitPhotography

Great captures this week! Thank you to all who participated this past week and for helping to make this photo series possible. If your photos didn’t make it in this round, keep on trying! For the upcoming week, we want to see your Millennium Line shots! Show us your creativity and snap your best interpretation of the theme! We can’t wait to see what you have in store for us!
