The upgrades to the Lonsdale Quay Exchange are almost complete! Starting on Monday, June 22, all buses will begin operating out of the Lonsdale Quay Exchange.

The entire bus island has been upgraded and is now complete. This means that the temporary stops along Carrie Cates will no longer be required and customers can now catch and disembark their buses inside of the loop.

There will continue to be some ongoing construction until late July/early August. The upgraded exchange will better serve our customers, creating a pedestrian-focused, welcoming, and modern space.

Key improvements that were/will be introduced include:

This is the first upgrade to the exchange since it was built in the 1980s and is carried out under the TransLink Maintenance and Repair Program [1].

The Lonsdale Quay Exchange is the second busiest transit hub on the North Shore and plays an integral role in connecting the North Shore to the rest of the region.. It serves more than 5,000 customers each weekday.12 bus routes, including the new RapidBus route, as well as customers travelling to Vancouver, West Vancouver and the District and City of North Vancouver.

We recognize that this construction is impactful to the community and we thank everyone for their patience. We continue to work closely with our partners at the City of North Vancouver to minimize disruptions while we work to 100% completion of the project.
