Line. Shape. Form. Texture. Pattern. Colour. Space.

The seven elements of photography which, intentionally or not, are contained in each and every photograph. By design, transit photography often contains strong leading lines, creating power and emotion in a single click. A highlight of the week is perusing Instagram for all of the amazing #MyTransLink shots that have made this weekly commuter series what it is today.

This week, we’re celebrating I Love Transit, a week dedicated to all of the things we love about… well… Transit! And if anyone loves transit, it’s you guys, our unofficial team of dedicated transit photographers who roam Metro Vancouver’s transit system in search of the perfect shot. At least, that’s how I see you guys anyways! Sun, sleet, snow or fog as requested for this edition of #MyTransLink, are no match for your keen eye.

#MyTransLink – September 25

Fall in Metro Vancouver is synonymous with rain, but with rain comes rainbows and those gorgeous rainbow coloured skies. Last week, we asked you – our mighty army of transit photogs to share your rainbow pics with us for our weekly #MyTransLink photo series, and as always you did not disappoint.

Nippy mornings are back, and so are pumpkin spice lattes. It’s back to school in a few days, and summer feels like your best friend is leaving. I don’t know about you guys, but I am not ready for fall yet. Maybe the pretty foliage and the slight nip in the air, perhaps?

What I am ready for is our favourite day of the week when we get to feature some stunning images that you share with us for #MyTransLink. This 1954 Canada Car Brill T-44 hit the road again to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vancouver’s trolleybus network!

Happy Tuesday to all our friends here, fellow transit enthusiasts and everyone else! We are back with our weekly feature on The Buzzer blog, #MyTransLink where we publish photos taken and published on social media by you – our customers! Happy Tuesday, folks! Looks like we may be getting a breather from the scorching heat, finally! Tuesday also means it’s #MyTransLink time, so all you Instagrammers out there, we love what you share with us – keep clicking and sharing!

Hello fellow Metro Vancouverites! Hope it’s goin’ swell for you folks out there. It’s Tuesday, and that means it’s time for #MyTransLink.

For our new friends here, #MyTransLink is our series on The Buzzer blog where we publish photos taken and published on social media by you – our customers! You’ve shown us a lot of love by sharing your B.E.A.utiful photos with the hashtag #MyTransLink on Instagram this past week.

As you know, #MyTransLink isn’t just about transit in the Metro Vancouver area. It’s about the amazing sights our cities have to offer and, accordingly, our theme this past week is of places in Metro Vancouver that transit takes you to. Read on to check out all the photos selected from last week and the theme for the week to come!

Summer is the time to go out and explore new areas, visit family and go out with friends. And what better way to do this than now when we have increased bus service.

#MyTransLink – this week’s featured images!

After playing hide and seek for a bit, looks like summer is finally here to stay! At least, we hope so. Summer is also the perfect time to take transit and catch up on your summer reading list, or watch your favorite show. With increased bus service to many popular summer attractions, there’s no better time to hop onboard.

Tap to Pay is here to make it easier than ever for you to pay your transit fare and be on your way.

This is also a great time to watch outdoor movies for free in places that are easily accessible by transit.

Another amazing attraction on your must-see list should be this jaw-dropping LEGO rendition of downtown New Westminster, which includes the SkyTrain!
