In May, we kicked off Transport 2050, our largest ever public engagement, to ask the people of the region: what kind of transportation future do you want?
With just over two weeks to go before Phase 1 engagement ends on September 22, over 26,000 surveys and 2,000 ideas have been submitted! Not only that, our outreach team has been to nearly every corner of Metro Vancouver – including at the PNE Fair at the Transport 2050 Expo!
The clock is ticking — have you had your say? Tell us about your values, priorities, and ideas for the future before the survey closes on September 22.
Since 1910, millions of guests have enjoyed shows, exhibits, sporting events, amusement rides, concerts, cultural activities and, of course, the annual summer Fair at the PNE.
Today, the PNE is the longest running and best attended annual ticketed event in BC and the site of hundreds of famous events – from a live performance from The Beatles to the historic Miracle Mile. Read more »

Our Transport 2050 Expo will also feature a TransLink Store pop-up shop and fun, interactive exhibits and displays from our partners.

Take transit to the PNE
The PNE Fair’s main entrance is located at the corner of Renfrew Street and Hastings Street in Vancouver, near bus stops for the 14 16, 95 B-Line, 210 and 211.
As always, in addition to the usual service in the area, we’ll be adding extra service to take you to and from the PNE. Look out for the special buses departing from Phibbs Exchange, 29th Avenue Station and Renfrew Station:
The 16 PNE special runs between the Expo Line’s 29th Avenue Station, the Millennium Line’s Renfrew Station and the Pacific Coliseum. Along this corridor, the extra service provides an additional 4-5 buses per hour between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 a.m.
The 210 PNE special runs between Phibbs Exchange and the Pacific Coliseum. Along this corridor, the extra provides an additional 2 buses per hour between 10 a.m. and midnight.
Double up your savings with Fair Fridays
Let’s take transit to the PNE Fair and save! Show your Compass Card and other Compass fare products at the PNE Fair Gate on Fridays, August 23 and 30 to receive a 2-for-1 admission for adults (14-64 years of age) and seniors (65+ years of age).
We’re creating a new Regional Transportation Strategy, called Transport 2050, that will outline our options for getting around between now and 2050.
Since TransLink launched this public engagement initiative – the largest in our history – on May 3, we’ve heard from thousands of Metro Vancouverites about what they want in the future of transportation. And so far, nearly 13,000 surveys and 1,400 ideas for the future have been submitted.
Have an idea, but haven’t submitted it yet? Don’t worry, you have until September 22 to tell us what’s important to you, your transportation priorities and your ideas for the future. Take part now at transport2050.ca!
Our Transport 2050 engagement team and bus will be at community events throughout the summer!
