A tribute to Bob Banks in the Globe and Mail today

Bob Banks, who illustrated the Buzzer from 1954-1976, passed away this year, and Tom Hawthorn has a wonderful tribute to Bob in the Globe and Mail today.
The Buzzer blog also posted a farewell to Bob in May. As well, Drew Snider put together this farewell video on the TransLinkInfo Youtube stream.
Bob, you’re fondly remembered!

I spent a wonderful few hours with Bob in his North Vancouver home in the mid 90s when I saw his name on some RCMP Centennial prints and others. He was so proud of that work. We poured over his amazing trains, that were so lifelike, you would swear they were photographs.
He was so kind, a real gentleman, polite, funny to a fault and a great conversationalist.
