Wow — the Source, which is the blog from L.A. Metro, has named the Buzzer blog as one of its eight essential transit agency blogs!

Thanks to Fred Camino at the Source for putting us on the list — you should make sure to check out all the other blogs he’s listed, as they’re very interesting too. The Source is no slouch either, with tons of great posts on transit news, history and more!

Yay! The Buzzer blog certainly is “robust!” I depend on it to channel my love of transit and using exclamation marks in several consecutive sentences!!! ;) Keep up the good work, Jhen! (btw, Jhen it seems like on the Source article they misspelled your last name, they only had one “l” in Pabillano!)

Awesome! My two favourite transit agencies – two great tastes that taste great together.

I’ve written to The Source in the past to suggest that they allow comments citing the Buzzer Blog as the perfect example of community involvement with the transit agency. While I thoroughly enjoy reading The Source, I wish they would change their comment policy so that we in L.A. could enjoy the same level of intelligent and informative discussion that my fellow Vancouverites enjoy. (I was born in Van and live in L.A. for clarification)

Anyways, congratulations on the recognition – hopefully it means Metro is learning from The Buzzer and thinking about opening comments!

Nice one Jhen. Very deserving and you are listed first too.

I read Buzzer Blog every day and I don’t even live in Metro Vancouver

And so it should be! Wow congratulations Jhenifer (and staff, if you have any)! All the hard work you put into writing interesting and informative articles (not to mention answering all of our never-ending questions lol no matter how big or small) really raises this blog a cut above the rest.

That’s tremendous — and not just one of 8… *first* in a list of 8. Also kudos to translink for publishing “The Buzzer” for all these years and supporting community comments on this blog… not everybody might realize the amount of vigilance needed to keep a website safe for public comments. You do a great job.

Aw, you guys — thanks for all the kind words!

Cliff: yep, they did spell my last name wrong. I’ll let them know :)
