Update: I Love Transit Night 2012 shuttle bus pickup details finalized
Unfortunately TRAMS wasn’t able to secure insurance for transporting passengers on the bus, so the ride is now cancelled! But the bus will still be parked at the event for you to board and examine :)
Just wanted to update everyone on the I Love Transit Night shuttle bus pickup location!
(Quick catchup: I Love Transit Night is at Bonsor Recreation Complex in Burnaby, Wednesday July 18, 2012, 6pm. Full details here!)
For those who don’t know, we usually get a special bus to take riders to I Love Transit Night. It’s not necessary to ride the bus to get to the event—it’s just a short walk from Metrotown Station this year—but we always offer it since everyone enjoys it so much!
This year, we have a 1962 vintage bus from TRAMS, the Transit Museum Society. And now we have the details on where they will pick up!
Where: Patterson Station, in the bay for the 125
When: Wednesday July 18, 2012 — it will be parked there from 5 to 5:30pm for sure, then leaving for the event sometime between 5:30-5:45pm.
Remember! Important!
Two key notes:
the bus can only take 42 passengers, and it’s sadly not wheelchair accessible.
However, those with mobility issues can still get there from the very accessible Metrotown SkyTrain Station. There’s elevators and everything!

Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Too bad we could not start service at Joyce or 29th station and then pickup at Patterson…. this way some of us could avoid the 2-zone surcharge.
…yes, but some of us are already on the other side! Faresavers, folks! I’m pretty sure the party will be worth it!
Faresavers don’t make a difference, no matter what side you are on.
Starting it in 2-zone is the only way to be fair to both Zone 1 and Zone 3 participants (though it means Zone 2ers always get the best :P)
Is there a sharing table at the event this year? I got a certain lego bus to showcase like last year ;)
