The new Mark III SkyTrain cars are heading West!
Bombardier has sent them on their journey from Ontario to our neck of the woods in Metro Vancouver.
These cars will undergo testing before being put into service on our system.
I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see these beauties in action!
If you spot them on their trip, use the hashtag #SpottheMarkIII to share a picture or video with us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
when will these be put on service?
Hi Raymond:
Thanks for the comment!
There are a number of activities that need to happen before the trains go into service, including assembling and adding signage.
Once assembled, these trains need to complete a comprehensive testing program before being placed into passenger (revenue) service. This typically takes several months. When testing is done, we can confirm when trains will be in service.
Don’t worry, we’ll update the Buzzer readers will more info soon!
are these trains going to be put on the expo line or the millenium line?
When will we see them at Stadium-Chinatown Station for display?
