Vancouver Technical Secondary students deliver mugs of cheer to bus operators (2017)
For over 20 years, students elves at Vancouver Technical Secondary School in Vancouver have been rolling out of bed extra early on the last day of school before winter break to give back to the bus operators who have been getting them to school all year long.
Today, we dropped by Van Tech to share in this holiday tradition. Greeted by cheerful holiday music and steaming mugs of hot cocoa, students eagerly hopped aboard each passing bus to deliver a personal gift, a belly warming treat and a chorus of Thank you’s and carols.
Check out how this annual tradition began in The Buzzer archives from 2011, and join us virtually by watching our Instagram Story from the morning!
Once again, a very special thank you goes out to everyone at Vancouver Technical Secondary who helped to make this another wonderful event and for treating our bus operators to some holiday cheer!
