Car Free Day Commercial Drive, also known as Drivefest, in Vancouver is back! Taking place right along Commercial Drive between North Grandview Highway and 1st Avenue, there’s plenty to explore at this free event!

The streets transform into one big pedestrian-friendly street party, celebrating community, sustainability, and alternative transportation. There will be plenty of food and drinks, local art, live music, and local businesses to support.

Find us at Car Free Day Commercial Drive!

Visit our TransLink booth and come aboard our Ride and Shine bus! Pledge to go car free and learn about your climate impact through our games and prizes.

Along with that, a blast from the past will also be there in the form of a historic bus from the Transit Museum Society.

Finally, register your Compass Card for TransLink’s Tap in to Win sweepstakes!  Once registered, earn entries for a chance to win prizes weekly and the grand prize of up to five years of free transit.

How to get to Car Free Day Commercial Drive

Car Free Day Commercial Drive is steps from Commercial–Broadway Station, which means it’s accessible by both the Expo and Millennium Lines, along with bus routes 9, 20, and 99 B-Line!

Bike Valet will also be there, so you can ride and park your bike with ease. Just like a coat check, there will be someone there to secure your bike, and you’ll get a slip for when you’re ready to ride back.
