Car Free Day is back on September 16 in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood! From noon to 7 p.m., Main Street, between East 10th and King Edward Avenues, vehicles will be swapped for a street festival featuring live music, local art, food, and more! Did we mention it’s free?

This pedestrian-friendly street party celebrates community, sustainability, and alternative transportation. Like all other Car Free Days, this one is accessible by walking, biking, or transit!

Visit our TransLink booth and come aboard our Ride and Shine bus! Pledge to go car free and learn about your climate impact through our games and prizes.

Along with that, a blast from the past will also be there in the form of a historic bus from the Transit Museum Society.

How to get to Car Free Day Main Street

Car Free Day Main Street is minutes away from routes 3, 9, and 25, depending on where you want to enter the festival. Canada Line’s King Edward Station is also just a 15-minute walk away!

Bike Valet will also be there, so you can ride and park your bike with ease. Just like a coat check, there will be someone there to secure your bike, and you’ll get a slip for when you’re ready to ride back.
