From noon to 10 p.m., the Shipyards Festival takes over the Shipyards District in North Vancouver and Carrie Cates Court transforms into Car Free Day North Vancouver. Live music, a site-wide beer garden, local businesses, and family-friendly activities!

Experience a blast from the past as a historic bus from the Transit Museum Society will also be on display.

Six stages worth of entertainment and more!

There’s plenty of live entertainment with 34 performers across the six stages! This includes performances from Canadian singer and rapper SonReal on the Shipyards Commons Stage and children’s musician Katie Brock on the SeaSpan Family Stage.

While you’re there, check out the vendors, food trucks, and family-friendly activities and games that will keep you entertained until the sun goes down!

How to get to the Shipyards Festival and Car Free Day North Vancouver

The Shipyards Festival and Car Free Day North Vancouver is just steps from Lonsdale Quay. To get there, ride the SeaBus from Waterfront Station, the R2 Marine Dr RapidBus, or one of the many buses that serve the exchange. Find the best route for you at translink.ca/tripplanner.

You can also ride your bike there and park it with Bike Valet, set up in the Shipyards District! Just like a coat check, there will be someone there to secure your bike, and you’ll get a slip for when you’re ready to ride back. It’s open from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
