Long weekends call for more time spent with family and friends. Here are some Thanksgiving weekend ideas accessible via transit for you and your family.

On Thanksgiving Day (Oct. 9), customers will only pay a 1-Zone fare for all transit modes and we’re operating on a holiday schedule.

Soak up the season with fall-themed activities

  1. Check out VanDusen Botanical Garden’s Harvest Days. Their veggie garden and maze area will be transformed for fall with fun photo areas, activities and entertainment, tasty treats, and more.
    • 📅 Starting Oct. 7. Open Saturdays and Sundays and select holidays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • 📍 5251 Oak St, Vancouver
    • ℹ Tickets vary by age. Price ranges from $6.89 to $13.78. Children 4 and under enter free.
  1. Shop or sightsee at the annual and high-turnout Cranberry Festival. There will be local vendors, live entertainment, and of course lots of cranberries!
  1. Experience the farm life and harvest pumpkins at pumpkin patches. Here are some transit-friendly pumpkin patches in Metro Vancouver:

    • 📅 Open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during Thanksgiving weekend. They sometimes close due to heavy rain. Check website before visiting.
