Bike, walk, ride and roll to Bike the Night
There are a few ways to bike to the festival at David Lam Park, and when you can go further, when you combine transit with cycling! Here are some options:
- Via the Central Valley Greenway, to Ontario Street and then bike along the Seawall.
- Take transit to Main Street–Science World with your bike, and then ride along the Seawall.
- Via the new Granville Connector bike lanes, which TransLink contribute funding to through our Local Government Funding Programs.
If those routes won’t work for you, use the Vancouver Bike Route Planner, or view the Metro Vancouver Cycling Maps to find your best route there.
If you’re new to putting your bike on the bus bike rack, familiarize yourself with this how-to video or practice with one of our many practice bus bike racks at various stations.

It would have been nice if they stuck to the already existing bike lanes installed by the City instead of taking up roadways, blocking traffic and interrupting bus service to Granville Island. Many people were left stranded at 2nd and Fir waiting for the #50 bus as it’s the only bus that goes through the area. I had to let them know the bus was re-routed down West 3rd. Last time buses were rerouted they had to go over to Alder Bay to be able to board the bus. Doesn’t say much for the City trying to get cyclists to use these existing bike lanes and the cyclists don’t really care and use the roads instead.
