MediVac helicopter lands at Port Coquitlam Transit Centre
Last Friday, a serious motor vehicle accident closed Kingsway Ave in Port Coquitlam for the afternoon, and a MediVac helicopter used Port Coquitlam Transit Centre (PCTC) as a landing pad to transport a victim to the hospital. A big thanks goes out to PCTC staff, who responded to the emergency request by cordoning off a section of the yard, allowing the MediVac to land safely and quickly. Here’s a few more photos of the helicopter in the yard, too — click each thumbnail for larger versions.

Cool. I believe the term though is “medevac”, as in “medical evacuation”.

Hmmm… I typed it into Google, and it looks like medivac is an acceptable alternative to medevac. At least, according to Wikipedia.
