Look out, people! Runners will soon be booking it down the streets of Vancouver, as part of the BMO Vancouver Marathon on Sunday, May 2.

If you’re going down to the event, the Expo and Millennium SkyTrain lines will start 90 minutes early, leaving King George at 6:38 a.m. 5:38 a.m. and Waterfront at 6:20 a.m.

If you’re travelling by bus in downtown Vancouver, please know that a number of reroutes will be in place to accommodate the marathon.

Routes affected include the 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 17, 19, 22, 50, 84, 210, 211, C21, and C23. Check the Alerts page for the most updated information; I’ve also pasted them below.

Reroutes effective Sunday, May 2 from 6 a.m. until 1 p.m.

003 Main: Regular route to Seymour & Hastings then via Hastings / Main then regular route.

004 Westbound: Regular route to Powell & Clark then via Clark / Hastings / Howe / Granville Bridge / Broadway / Burrard / 4th / Alma / 10th then regular route.

006 Downtown: Regular route to Seymour & Hastings then via Hastings / Richards then regular route.

007 Westbound: Regular route to Powell & Clark then via Clark / Hastings /Howe / Granville Bridge / Broadway / Burrard / 4th then regular route.

004/007 Eastbound:Regular route to 4th & Burrard then via Burrard / Broadway / Granville Bridge / Seymour / Hastings / Clark / Powell then regular route.

008 Downtown:Regular route to Main & Keefer then via Keefer / Gore / Hastings / Main then regular route.

017 Oak: Regular route Granville & West Cloverleaf then via Granville / 10th / Fir / Broadway then regular route.

019 Westbound: Regular route to Main & Pender then via Main / Hastings / Richards / Pender / Georgia / Denman / Robson / Cardero to temporary terminus on Cardero at Alberni.

019 Eastbound: From temporary terminus via Cardero / Pender / Homer / Hastings / Main then regular route.

022 Westbound: Regular route to Clarke & Venables then via Clarke / Hastings / Richards / Pender / Burrard / 4th / MacDonald then regular route.

022 Eastbound: Regular route to MacDonald & 4th then via 4th / Burrard / Pender / Homer / Hastings / Clark then regular route.

050 Waterfront: From Willow & Broadway then via 8th / Oak / Broadway / Granville / Robson / Seymour / Hastings to temporary terminus on Cambie at Hastings.

050 False Creek: From temporary terminus via Pender / Howe / Nelson / Granville / Broadway / Willow then regular route.

084 VCC: From UBC Loop via Wesbrook / University Blvd / 10th / Alma / 4th / Burrard / Broadway / Kingsway / 10th / Main / 2nd then regular route.

084 UBC: Regular route to 2nd & Main then via Main / Broadway / Burrard / 4th / Alma / 10th University Blvd / Wesbrook then regular route.

210/211 Westbound: Regular route to Powell & Clark then via Clark / Hastings / Cambie then regular route.

210/211 Eastbound: Regular route to Homer & Hastings then via Hastings / Clark / Powell then regular route.

C21 Yaletown: From Davie & Denman via Denman / Robson / Thurlow / Davie / Richard / Drake to temporary terminus Richard at Drake.

C21 Beach: From temporary terminus Cambie & Hastings via Pender / Richards / Davie / Burrard / Robson / Denman / Davie then regular route.

C23 Main: Regular route to Davie & Seymour then via Seymour / Hastings / Cambie to temporary terminus Cambie at Hastings.
