The West Coast Express coffee bar is back in action
March 16, 2011
Donald sent a note along to announce that the West Coast Express coffee bar is back! I hadn’t realized it was gone for a while, but am happy to hear it has returned :)
Anyway, the Station Express Café has taken over the new coffee bar as of March 14, 2011, and they also operate a physical café at Waterfront Station. I’m told they have the usual coffee, chocolate bars, chips, cold beverages, and muffins. As well, they have new goodies such as breakfast rolls, omelette-filled pastries for mornings on the go, and instant noodle cups if you can’t wait to get home for dinner. Bon appetit!
There’s actually a coffee bar on the train? Woah… didn’t know about that. =O
There is! Not on every WCE train car though: just a few special ones.
Oh and just for curiosity (as I probably won’t use the train for awhile), is the coffee bar on just one train or on all of them? =O
Allan: Aha: here’s the full answer from West Coast Express.
The coffee car is the 2nd car toward the inbound (Waterfront-bound, westbound) side on the 5-car trains (Train #1 AM, Train #5 PM), 3rd car on the 8-car trains (Train #2 and 5 AM, Train #1 and 2 PM), and 4th car on the 10-car trains (Train #3 and 4 AM, Train #3 and 4 PM)! There is also a kiosk on the platform of Waterfront Station located on the outbound (Mission-bound, eastbound) side!
Yes I love coffee
Coffee is great! I have at least one ounce each day with my morning ham!!!!
^^^ Whoops meant “The coffee car is the…”!
Donald: I fixed it for you :)
Hope there is a loo on board!!
There is indeed, Steven, but not on the same car as the coffee bar. The coffee bar occupies the space normally occupied by the washroom in all the other cars.
We have something similar to the West Costal express in Toronto (more trains going east, north east, north, north west, west etc). But we don’t have anything like this.
[…] don’t advise doing it. [Update] In fact, you can purchase coffee and snacks on the West Coast Express. However, food and drink on transit can cause problems. Spill your pop or […]
