Surrey Rapid Transit Study Phase 2 – mark your calenders!
As you’ve read on this blog, in partnership with the Province of BC, our staff have been working with the public and stakeholders on different alternatives for rapid transit service for the rapidly growing City of Surrey since our first public consultation last October. Today we’re announcing the next phase of the process which is to review the alternatives that came out of the last consultation and ask the public and stakeholders to help determine the best rapid transit solution for Surrey.
Information about the public consultations, the webinar, the questionnaire, and a recap of the results of Phase 1 can be found on our Surrey Rapid Transit Be Part of the Plan page.
May 26th – June 24th
This is when you can be part of the process in-person, online, and in your own words. Again, please take note of the specifics on the Be Part of the Plan page. Here are the important dates to remember:

Wow… yesterday seemed like a pretty big day for TransLink, given that it opened to the public two new consultations on Burnaby and Surrey transit options. Having said that, I’ve noticed that the construction topic for Metrotown Stn renovations has disappeared lately; do you know what is happening with that project? And is it still true also that the Main Street Stn project is stalled due to lack of funding?
It is Phase two consultations so it’s not like no one knew anything about them. There’s also this happening in Surrey (finally) http://www.translink.ca/en/Be-Part-of-the-Plan/Projects/Scott-Road-Station-Upgrades.aspx
They’ve long since removed any mention of work happening to and around Edmonds Stn, and when I asked about that I was told it was due to lack of funding for it for the time being. That’s understandable but I think removing any reference to it is wrong.
@Sheba
I agree with you about removing any reference to it. People could spend a lot of time looking for information that isn’t there.
