Fun poll results! There’s no clear transit app champ
Last year (isn’t it weird to say that?) we asked you which transit apps you use to get around Metro Vancouver.
Well, we’ve tallied votes and the results are in!
Transit DB squeaked into top spot with 40 per cent with Transit App and Google Maps tying for a close second with 38 per cent.
City Mapper took in 13 per cent and Radar for Metro Vancouver buses followed with 10 per cent.
The apps with the least votes were Live Transit and Bus Tracker with six and three per cent respectively.
Funny that in a best app poll, the one listed mobile site (Transit DB), took home the most votes!
Thanks to everyone who participated and for all your app suggestions in the comments section!
**NOTE: Results are based on multiple votes per person**

One app that I use, (kind of called an app) is Tcomm. It actually opens up on a web browser and you can get the current trip schedule of the routes a certain bus is doing or a list of all the active buses currently in service.
“Transit DB squeaked into top spot with 40 per cent of the votes with Transit App and Google Maps tying for a close second with 38 per cent of the votes each.”
That doesn’t make sense. 40% + 38% + 38% = 116% and then you need to add in the for the remaining apps. Is your math adding up correctly?

Thanks Ric!
If you look at the actual poll, 40, 38, 38 is actually % and not number of votes. This adds to more than 100% and the reason is that respondents were able to choice multiple answers, not just one. Here are the results: Transit DB (40%, 50 Votes), Transit App (38%, 48 Votes), Google Maps (38%, 47 Votes), City Mapper (13%, 16 Votes), Radar for Metro Vancouver buses (10%, 12 Votes), Live Transit (6%, 8 Votes) and Bus Tracker (3%, 4 Votes).
