For over 20 years, Rail~Volution has been the place to engage in thoughtful discussions with change makers and influencers. It’s the place to share ideas and breakthroughs, frustrations and inspiration about building livable communities with transit. Rail~Volution provides opportunities to learn, connect and expand your network with leaders in the public transportation, transit-oriented development, placemaking and community development fields.
From September 8-11, 2019, the 25th Rail~Volution conference is coming to Vancouver. FYI, it’s the first time the conference has been hosted outside of the U.S.!
Call for Volunteers
A huge part of Rail~Volution’s success is it’s volunteers. Through the volunteer program, more people can access conference learning opportunities and, simultaneously, enhance the conference experience for all attendees by filling critical customer service roles. Most volunteer opportunities will be at the 2019 Conference Hotel, the Hyatt Regency Vancouver, though some positions will require travel off-site.

As a transportation professional and strong proponent of multi-modal lifestyles, I would love the opportunity to learn more and connect with other professionals in the rapidly-evolving world of mobility in which I work and live. Rail~Volution 2019 is an exciting opportunity to experience all the emerging options in the Vancouver region and learn about the perspectives, opportunities, and challenges tied to travelling in the 21st century. Thanks, TransLink!
I loved as much as you’ll receive carried out right here.
The sketch is attractive, your authored material stylish.
nonetheless, you command get bought an edginess over that you
wish be delivering the following. unwell unquestionably come more formerly again as exactly the same nearly a lot often inside case you shield
this increase.
I am excited at the opportunity to hear about placemaking perspectives and insights into balancing safety with accessibility. I would also love the chance to meet and discuss the future of TOD in the region and across the continent with professionals from across the industry.
I would attend RailVolution as I want to meet, connect, and discuss with professional transit planners on transit planning guidelines, responsibilities as a transit planner especially where rail is involved no matter if it’s high speed rail, commuter rail, or rapid transit, and future transit improvements in various sectors for the present and future with the past considered. Also I would learn from other transit planners and agencies on their transit improvements and services, and new ideas for transit and other transportation modes improvements being discussed whether relevant to rail, relevant to public transit, or relevant to transportation in general. Furthermore, I could share some relevant ideas as a transit enthusiast no matter if they are new ideas never heard of or existing ideas but never implemented in regions like Metro Vancouver.
I have just completed a planning program in Vancouver this month, and am eager to learn more about the intersection of transportation and land use policy, and especially how they come together to address climate change. I focused my thesis project on how zoning reform in Vancouver could better leverage transit access/provision and I would love to learn more from experts in the field!
