Things to do on Bowen Island this summer with the new Transit On-Demand App

Looking for something to do this summer for an adventure close to nature and away from the city? Have you tried out our new Transit On-Demand app for a day out on Bowen Island? TransLink has launched a new pilot program that will test on-demand transit services for Bowen Island residents and visitors.

To summarize the program, with more details can be found here, it gives Bowen Island transit customers and tourists the freedom to explore the area and hail for a public transit ride when you need it. It’s just as simple as visiting translink.ca/bowen to download the TapRide app. There’s also an option to use the online and phone-in booking system instead (more info on that via translink.ca/bowen).

This pilot project will run until this September 15, so we’re providing our recommendations as a head start of your Bowen Island adventures!
