CMBC, part of the integrated TransLink enterprise, is responsible for operating 96 per cent of the region’s bus service, while overseeing contracts for the remaining four per cent. Throughout the year, CMBC dispatches buses to local emergencies to assist. It can come in the form of a “shelter bus” that provides much needed, safe and warm protection for displaced residents in cases such as a fire.
