5 ways to save at the PNE Fair
5 ways to save at the PNE Fair
Going to the PNE Fair with your friends and family is truly the Vancouver way to close out an epic summer, for some even a tradition!
With plenty of entertainment such as visiting attractions, watching live performances, sampling tasty food truck eats, and not to mention a thrilling experience at Playland.
Looking for ways to save at the PNE Fair? We are sharing 5 ways to save so your final summer hurrah leaves a lasting impression on your memory, and not your pocketbook.
1. Ride transit and save on gas and parking
The quickest and easiest way to save is to take transit to the PNE Fair. There are several bus routes offering fast, frequent and reliable service within a close walk from the fair grounds. We’re running the 16 PNE special bus departing from 29th Avenue Station (Expo Line) and Renfrew Station (Millennium Line), and back from the Pacific Coliseum.
A transit fare starts at $2.50 when using a Compass Card loaded with Stored Value. Parking starts at $15, plus fuel costs and the headache of finding parking.
Let us get behind the wheel and you focus on planning how to make the most out of your PNE experience!
2. Receive a 2-for-1 admission on Fair Fridays
Riding transit to the PNE Fair will save on your admission too! Arrive early and you could receive 2-for-1 admission to the PNE on Fair Fridays (Aug. 26 and Sept. 2).
Simply show your Compass Card or proof of transit fare when purchasing the tickets. Note that this is valid on in-person admission payment only and the offer is limited to the first 5,000 people, so come early to maximize your chances of redeeming this perk.
3. Enter our contests for a chance to win tickets
You could enter for a chance to win PNE Fair general admission tickets or Playland Thrill Ride tickets by entering our contests on social media. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok and keep your eyes peeled for the contest announcement!
At the PNE Fair, you can also enter for a chance to win Summer Night Concert tickets by visiting the TransLink Ride and Shine Experience (located near the PNE Forum) to enter the draw. You can’t miss us, just look for our Ride and Shine bus, the 1957 transit museum bus, and the double decker bus. While you’re there, take the Car Free Pledge for the planet.
4. Purchase tickets in advance
Purchase tickets in advance and save $2 per PNE Fair admission and $5 per ride pass. Skip the line and secure your spot at the same time.
5. Go as a group
Got a whole crew (of at least 20) to invite to PNE? Take advantage of the group rates. Receive $5 off per person at the PNE Fair and $8 off per person on select Fair ride passes. Make a reunion out of it!
We’re nearing the end of summer so wrap it up with a bang while getting the best bang for your buck. Ride transit to the PNE Fair and take advantage of these easy ways to save (or win) tickets.
