Art Moves is moving — literally!

Art Moves is moving — literally!

Since May, Art Moves has been bringing a roster full of local, diverse, world-class musicians and performance artists from an array of creative disciplines to the transit system. This month, Art Moves really moves!

Chris Fraser, a traditional jazz guitarist, transforms SkyTrain with in-car performances on the Expo and Millennium Lines, as well as onboard the SeaBus and at the Art Moves mainstage at Waterfront Station.

Fraser is one of the Vancouver jazz scenes’ most in-demand musicians. An uncanny improviser, he takes a modern approach to the traditional jazz idiom with influence from guitarists Jim Hall, Bill Frisell, John Scofield and Kurt Rosenwinkel. Having cut his teeth in the heart of the Vancouver jazz scene, Fraser has been a member of the scene for over a decade and performs frequently at every major jazz venue in the city, such as Frankie’s Jazz Club, Tangent Cafe, and 2nd Floor Gastown.
