Experience Burnaby Village Museum in wintertime with festive lights and seasonal entertainment and activities all around the 10-acre venue.

Coquitlam

Lights at Lafarge

Lafarge Lake is once again bright throughout the night this holiday season. It features a 1.2-kilometre walkway that loops around the lake, perfect for a festive night stroll afterhours!

  • Where: Lafarge Lake in Town Centre Park
  • When: Kick-off event on November 26, 2022. The lights are on from dusk until 11 p.m. from now until January 31, 2023.

GLOW Langley

This outdoor walk-around festival will bring out the kid in you as you enter a winter wonderland and meet Glow Princesses, search for missing elves, and ride on the Glow Comotive. It’s like the village centre of a Christmas movie — except this one has an animated musical tunnel, a Forest of Dancing Trees, an Elf Castle, playpark, and the Jolly Jumble exhibit where you’ll feel like an elf yourself navigating through giant ornaments!

The holiday magic is upon Memorial Peace Park featuring a twinkling tunnel, a glowing bandstand with live entertainment, and an art tree and interactive sequoia tree to take photos with!

Canyon Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge

This includes Santa, his elves, chocolate and peppermint fairies, and the ice queen. And you can jazz up this fairytale experience while sipping hot cocoa or a “gastronomic delight.”

Bright Nights at Stanley Park

Stanley Park lights up at night with millions of twinkling Christmas lights and surrounded with holiday music and cheers. While the Christmas train won’t be operating this year, the lights display will be huge, paired with food trucks and Santa’s workshop where you can finally continue your long-awaited photo with Santa tradition.

Festival of Lights at VanDusen Botanical Garden

Over one million lights will decorate 15 acres of VanDusen Botanical Garden for the Festival of Lights. With the return of one-of-a-kind exhibits like the Dancing Lights, Rose Garden, and Scottish Shelter, along with tasty features and holiday music, it’s an enchanting winter experience to look forward to.
