Some exciting new upgrades are coming soon to Phibbs Exchange, improving customer comfort and safety, while also providing better traffic flow and capacity for future expansions. In the meantime, we are relocating all bus bays at Phibbs Exchange to accommodate the next stage of construction.

Affected bus routes

Starting July 24 and until the new Phibbs Exchange is complete, all bus bays are relocated to Oxford, Orwell and Main Streets to accommodate for the upgrades. See the below diagram for the updated bus bays:

About the Phibbs Exchange upgrade

In partnership with the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, the upgraded Phibbs Exchange will feature customer comforts such as better lighting, more weather protection, enhanced signage, and more seamless pedestrian and cyclist connectivity. That means new shelters, digital passenger displays, and bike lockers!

We’re excited to bring this project to better connect the North Shore to the rapidly growing Metro Vancouver region. The upgraded exchange is planned to be completed by mid-2024.
