The Poetry Bus returns to Word Vancouver on Saturday, September 16 at UBC Robson Square to mark 27 years of Poetry in Transit. Word Vancouver is Western Canada’s largest free literary arts festival. The Poetry Bus will display this year’s Poetry in Transit poems. If you’re looking for a fantastic way to spend your weekend, this vibrant celebration of all things literary and poetic is for you.

What is Poetry in Transit?

Poetry in Transit is a unique initiative between TransLink, BC Transit, and Books BC that weaves the beauty of poetry with public transit. Annually, Books BC produces a collection of poetry car cards, which feature the work of BC-authored and Canadian-published poets. Each poetry card has a curated image selected as part of our annual Poetry in Transit photo contest.
