Transit riders hopped on board for our second Tap In to Win sweepstakes and several of them hopped off as winners.

Customers joined by registering their Compass Cards to earn entries on their transit trips. From August to November, qualified entrants were eligible to win weekly prizes including the grand prize of free transit for five years!

63 transit riders won a weekly prize ranging from Compass Monthly Passes, TransLink Store merchandise, Stay & Play packages, Electric Bikes, Electric Scooters, bike and car sharing memberships, passes to local attractions, and prize packages for the Vancouver Giants, BC Lions, and Whitecaps.

The Tap In to Win sweepstakes is one of our ways to say thanks to our customers for choosing transit. The prizes took customers on fun experiences to share with loved ones and opened doors to try something new.

Winners like Ankit enjoyed a Whitecaps game with his nephew who’s an avid fan, and Leanne celebrated her birthday from the skies with a Vancouver City Seaplane Tour from Harbour Air.

Ankit won one of the Whitecaps prize package.

Leanne won the Vancouver City Seaplane Tour prize package.

Other winners are making new memories with their Stay and Play packages which include a night stay at a hotel, a getaway to a local attraction, and gift cards for local restaurants.

Dafne won the Elevated sightseeing Stay and Play package.

Klaus won the Family Night in Coquitlam Stay and Play package.

Veronique won the Whale Watching in Richmond Stay and Play package.

Lourdes won the Bird Watching in Surrey Stay and Play package.

Toan won the Tasty Tour Weekend in Langley Stay and Play package.

Kristen won the North Shore Sea Safari Weekend Stay and Play package.

Gwen won the Burnaby Shopping Weekend Stay and Play prize package.

Some winners added more ways to travel aside from taking transit as they took home new e-bikes and e-scooters, and memberships to car-share and bike-share services.

Brendan won an Evolv Rides e-scooter.

Shirjan won a Rad Power Bikes e-bike.

Helen won one of the Evo car-sharing prize.

Lolita won an Evolv Rides e-scooter.

Manpreet won the Mobi bike-sharing prize.

Winners like Yo Yo are sharing TransLink Store merch with their family members.

Tina won a TransLink Store merchandise package.

Maya won a TransLink Store merchandise package.

Linda won a TransLink Store merchandise package.

Gain won a TransLink Store merchandise package.

Yo Yo won a TransLink Store merchandise package.

30 winners also saved money by winning 3-Zone Monthly Passes.

And finally, Anchal saved a whopping $12,000 by winning the grand prize of five years of free transit!

Tap In to Win increases transit ridership

Tap In to Win not only rewarded our customers but also increased transit ridership. Of the 67,000 customers who entered the contest, 5,000 of them were new riders and 9,000 customers were reported to take transit more.
