Take transit to these 6 fall photography spots in Vancouver
Fall is a magical season. It’s not freezing in Metro Vancouver (yet) and as a result, we’re left with cozy jacket weather and brisk days framed by changing leaves. This creates the perfect opportunity to get some great photos in, without the heat and sweat that comes with Summer.
Add these gorgeous photos spots to your Instagram shoot list this week and enjoy the short burst of beautiful autumn weather.
1. Cleveland Dam
📍 Address: 5077 Dam Rd, North Vancouver, BC V7R 4K7
🚌 Bus Route: 236 Grouse Mountain/Lonsdale Quay
📸 Photo spot tip: Find the best photo spot behind the dam, near the water reservoir, which includes the view of the Lions Mountain in the background.
💡 Did you know? The Cleveland Dam holds back the Capilano Reservoir, which is one of the three main sources of drinking water for Metro Vancouver.
2. Lighthouse Park
📍 Address: 4902 Beacon Ln, West Vancouver, BC V7W 1K5
🚌 Bus Route: 250 Dundarave/Horseshoe Bay
📸 Photo spot tip: Keep an eye out for signs for Juniper Loop Trail nearby upon arrival to follow it to Juniper Point, where you’ll have a great view of Passage Island, Bowen Island and Howe Sound.
💡 Did you know? Lighthouse Park is home to one of the largest uncut rainforests in the Lower Mainland, with some trees as old as 500 years!
3. Prospect Point Lookout
📍 Address: 5601 Stanley Park Dr, Vancouver, BC V6G 3E2
🚌 Bus Route: 19 Kingsway/To Stanley Park
📸 Photo spot tip: Capture everything from the Lions Gate Bridge, the North Shore mountains, the Burrard Inlet, and the seawall from this great lookout.
💡 Did you know? The Burrard Inlet, below the Lookout, is one of the deepest and longest harbours in the world!
4. Holland Park
📍 Address: 13428 Old Yale Rd, Surrey
🚌 Nearby Station: King George Station
📸 Photo spot tip: Don’t miss a few key spots here, including the Holland Gardens, Woodland Garden and decorative fountains.

5. VanDusen Botanical Garden
📍 Address: 5251 Oak St, Vancouver, BC V6M 4H1
🚌 Bus Routes: R4 41st Ave to UBC, 41 Joyce Station/Crown, 17 Downtown/Oak
📸 Photo spot tip: There is no shortage of beautiful photo spots at this location, so we don’t have any particular recommendations for the fall colours. Take your time on the initial walkthrough to take note of where you’d like to revisit for photos.

6. Town Centre Park
📍 Address: 1299 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam, BC V3B 7S4
🚌 Nearby Station: Lafarge Lake-Douglas Station
📸 Photo spot tip: Everywhere you look is a potential photo spot. Town Centre Park is so large that it includes many photo spots such as Lafarge Lake, and beautiful gardens throughout.
💡 Did you know? Lafarge Lake is seasonally stocked with rainbow trout in the spring and fall by the Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery.
