The BC Blanket Society is hosting the 14th Annual Drive on the Line event on Friday, Nov. 15th and Saturday, Nov. 16th, 2024, along SkyTrain’s Canada Line between Richmond–Brighouse and Waterfront Station.

As North America’s largest blanket drive, this two-day event serves as a vital effort to raise awareness about homelessness and poverty while supporting shelter programs and families in need. The Society is aiming for an overall donation of 200 blankets during the two days of the drive.

As weather conditions change, blankets will be provided in need to individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty in Richmond and Vancouver. Over the past years, this event has delivered essential warmth to thousands in need.

How you can help

Blanket BC aims to distribute tens of thousands of blankets during the 14th Annual Drive on the Line event. Both new and gently used blankets will be accepted along with cash, warm clothing, and other items that can help those in need during winter months. Volunteers, affectionately known as “Blanketeers,” are also needed to help make this event a success.
