All aboard the West Coast Express Santa Train! Here’s how to get your free ticket to ride
A Metro Vancouver favourite, the West Coast Express Santa Train, returns for one festive day on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024. Santa Train riders can hop aboard this holiday train to enjoy a day of festive sights, shopping, or even to catch a ride on a Reindeer Bus in downtown Vancouver before the return trip home.
It departs Mission City Station at 10 a.m. and arrives at Waterfront Station in downtown Vancouver at 11:15 a.m. The return trip leaves at 4 p.m. For the full schedule, please visit translink.ca/wce. Return to Waterfront Station by 3 p.m. for photos with Santa at our magical North Pole concourse.
In exchange for a new, unwrapped toy or gift, customers will receive a return ticket for the Santa Train (the DayPass ticket is valid for the day only for all modes of transit including the SeaBus, SkyTrain, and bus.) One donation = one return ticket!
All Santa Train donations benefit the communities served by the West Coast Express. Beneficiaries include the Mission Christmas Bureau, the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Christmas Hamper Society, the Tri-Cities Share Society, and the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau.
Last year, over 6,000 customers took the Santa Train, donating 2,249 toys and over $2,800 dollars.
Why only on one day this year?
How busy does the train get when it arrives to Coquitlam? Can we board the train from one of the stops (ie Coquitlam)?
I’ve waited all year to do this to find out it was only one day :/ I wanted to take my kids on this
