This summer, Metro Vancouver streets are turning into lively, car-free spaces filled with music, food, art, and community vibes. Car Free Days are back and bigger than ever, with eight upcoming free festivals across the region!
From North Vancouver to Maple Ridge, these events transform entire streets into pedestrian-only community hubs. Whether you’re a foodie, a music lover, or just looking for a family-friendly day out, Car Free Days are your ticket to a summer of fun — without the traffic.

We’ve made it easy to enjoy Car Free Days without the car! Hop on transit, walk, bike, or carpool with friends. Most event locations are just steps from SkyTrain stations or major bus routes, so getting there is a breeze. Visit translink.ca/tripplanner to plan your trip.
Visit thebicyclevalet.ca to find out about parking your bike at a bike valet. It’s a coat check but for your bike!
Bringing the whole crew? Remember, kids under 12 ride transit for free every day, so make it a family outing! It’s just a one-zone fare after 6:30 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends/holidays.
