Customer experience is at the heart of everything we do, so, we’re always on a mission to elevate it. That’s where our annual Open Call for Innovation comes in!

Every year, we invite entrepreneurs, businesses, inventors, and innovators to propose solutions that enhance the transit journey.

This year, answer our call for bold ideas that have the potential to transform the customer experience — helping us deliver better service, faster and at lower cost.

Submissions are open from Oct. 31 to Nov. 30 at translink.ca/opencall.

Help accelerate our vision for the future

Transport 2050 is our region’s 30-year transportation strategy and the Access for Everyone plan outlines transportation priorities for the next 10 years. Both envision a future where everyone has easy access to the people, places, and opportunities they need to thrive.

That’s why we are interested in ideas, which can be piloted at low or no cost to TransLink, that tackles one or more of the following areas:

• Expanding the convenience of walking, cycling, transit, and carsharing
• Strengthening operational reliability of buses
• Enhancing communication reliability
• Advancing affordability and TransLink’s value for money
• Improving safety and comfort for walking, cycling, transit, and carsharing

For successful ideas, we’ll work with you to incubate, test, and pilot your idea, with the potential to implement it across the transit system.

Previously pitched ideas that were successful include a shared mobility app, smart lockers at SkyTrain stations, bus capacity prediction, and solar-powered lighting units.
