Halloween is for everyone, and we’re excited to once again help make it more inclusive.

On Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, we’re teaming up with Treat Accessibly to take part in the Halloween Village in Surrey, a curbside trick-or-treating event designed for children of all abilities. This community celebration brings together families, volunteers, and transit staff to create a safe, welcoming space where everybody can enjoy the magic of Halloween.

What is Treat Accessibly

Treat Accessibly is a national movement that encourages inclusive trick-or-treating by asking homeowners to offer treats from their driveways. This simple shift makes Halloween more accessible for children who use mobility devices or have other barriers to traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating.

The Halloween Village takes this idea further, offering a daytime, barrier-free experience where kids can dress up, collect treats, and enjoy the festivities with ease.

How TransLink supports accessibility and connection

Accessibility is at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s designing inclusive transit infrastructure or supporting community events like this one. We believe everyone deserves to move through the region safely and comfortably.

At this year’s event, TransLink staff will be on site alongside our Halloween-themed RapidBus. We’re excited to welcome trick-or-treaters, hand out goodies, and celebrate the power of connection.

This event wouldn’t be possible without the incredible volunteers who help bring it to life. TransLink employees, community members, and partners all play a role in making the Halloween Village a joyful and inclusive experience.

It’s a reminder that transit is more than just getting from A to B, it’s about building community, supporting each other, and showing up for what matters.
