Oakridge–41st Avenue Station to close at 11 p.m. starting Jan. 26 until March

Oakridge–41st Avenue Station to close at 11 p.m. starting Jan. 26 until March

We’re working on huge updates to the Canada Line’s Oakridge–41st Avenue Station, and as a result, there are temporary station and elevator closures starting Jan. 26 until spring.

These improvements will make shopping at the renovated Oakridge Park mall a breeze, with direct access to the mall from the renovated station. It’ll also improve accessibility at the station and keep up with the growing neighbourhood.

What you need to know about the closures:

The station will once again close early at 11 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday nights for two months, starting on Monday, Jan. 26 until late March.

  • These closures are only at 11 p.m. until the end of service from Sunday to Thursday
  • Excludes Fridays and Saturdays
  • Excludes Monday, February 16 (Family Day)

The elevator at Oakridge–41st Ave Station will also be closed between Jan. 26 and April 30 so we can complete upgrades to the station’s roof.

While the station and elevator is closed, you can use the 15 Cambie/Olympic Village Station bus for alternative travel between King Edward, Oakridge–41st Avenue, and Langara–49th Avenue stations. The 15 bus stops at all three stations.

Please allow for up to 20 minutes of additional travel time if you are walking between stations or relying on the #15 route. You won’t miss the closure or your way around, as we’ll have extra Canada Line staff and signage at the station to let you know where to go and assist if needed.

The station upgrades, including the elevator, are expected to be complete in summer 2026.

What’ll be new at Oakridge?

  • A set of new escalators to improve accessibility at the station.
  • A renovated station entrance with new roof offering better weather protection.
  • Direct underground access to the renovated Oakridge Park mall.
  • An updated R4 41st Ave RapidBus stop on 41st Avenue with new information display, benches, and shelter.
  • New public art inside the station.

Make sure you’re signed up for Transit Alerts in the meantime and thank YOU for your ongoing patience as we upgrade the station.
