Double the fun: Double-decker buses will add to the fleet in 2019
Back in November of 2017, we launched our highly anticipated Double-decker bus pilot project, with two, double tall buses rolling out on various long-distance commuter routes.
If you’ve had a chance to catch one, you’ll notice that the two double-decker buses, supplied at no cost by manufacturer Alexander Dennis, have up to 83 per cent more seating than our traditional highway coaches, and double the capacity overall.
We’re loving these buses, and so are you!
Got the front row view of my route to work/home, that the girls for sure enjoying the views ❤

Nearing the end of the pilot program, we remain committed exploring new options to better meet customers’ needs and the region’s transportation goals. As part of fleet purchases outlined in the 10-Year Vision, we plan to procure 32 double-decker buses for our fleet by 2019! If you’re looking for your chance to catch a ride before the pilot program ends, check in with our Customer Information team on Twitter to find out where you can hop onboard!
Have you had a chance to ride the double-decker yet? If so, share your experience by visiting translink.ca/doubledecker and complete the survey!

With double decker buses coming, would artics still be around or will they also be replaced with double deckers?
