The idea to have Vancouver actor Seth Rogen as a guest voice on transit came from our customers and the media. That’s why last week, we asked for your help to pick what Seth says next!
*Drumroll* please!
The results are in… and the winner is “bags on seats” with 38 per cent of the vote! You can now hear it on trains travelling from Nanaimo Station to Commercial–Broadway Station, at Canada Line platforms, and onboard buses when played by the operator.
Hey #Vancouver, it’s your transit! Help us pick the next Seth announcements. Which one do you want to hear?

We’ve also added a few other new ones too — feet on seats, perfumes and colognes, cellphones, and taking your backpack off.
Seth’s voice can be heard on transit until the end of October and each announcement will run for roughly three weeks or longer.

Great! He should say something about smoking and vaping so that people will not vape where no smoking is permitted.
Please also suggest giving up seats to those that need it… The elderly, pregnant women, little kids, strollers, etc. It’s such a shame a lot of people don’t have the common sense to do so automatically.
I appreciate the bags off one, but maybe only play it during peak times. There are plenty of off-peak times where my backpack is not causing any problems.
Thanks everyone for your feedback! We actually have one for courtesy seats. You can listen it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WAx1J-8lvo
It would be nice if I could hear these inside the train. I only ever seem to hear them when I’m outside the station or on the train as it’s entering / leaving the station – so I hear the voice but not the message.
Hi Sheba!
You can hear the “bags on seats” announcements on trains travelling from Nanaimo to Commercial-Broadway; “take off backpacks” on trains travelling from Commercial-Broadway to Nanaimo. The announcements at SkyTrain stations are at the top of the hour, and then at :20, followed by :40. Hope that’s helpful! ^tp
