Have your say in the Maple Ridge–Pitt Meadows Area Transport Plan, April 2–18!
People who live, work, play, or travel through Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows are invited to have their say in the next phase of the Maple Ridge–Pitt Meadows Area Transport Plan!
You may remember last year we reached out to find out from you what are some of the issues and opportunities for improving transit and transportation in the area.
And the results are in! We’ve analyzed your input and developed a range of potential strategies and actions aimed at improving transit, strengthening regional cycling connections and making walking to transit safer and more enjoyable.
But first, we need your feedback to help prioritize and refine the potential strategies for improving transit, walking, and cycling.
So don’t wait, have your say in the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows ATP! Help shape transportation in your community by taking the survey from April 2 to 18 at translink.ca/mrpm.
South of Port Coquitlam seems to be left out. There’s no bus going to Walmart or Costco. We only have an unreliable bus 188. Not many buses ply Broadway or Kingsway and bus 175 is not frequent or regular. It is more of a loop service and does not return on the same route.
There’s so much to do to serve the people and ONLY if it’s a genuine interest. Thank you!
Hi Barthi, Port Coquitlam is “left out” since it’s part of our Northeast Sector Area Transport Plan. You can find more information here: https://www.translink.ca/Plans-and-Projects/Area-Planning/Northeast-Sector-Area-Transit-Plan.aspx. One of the near-term priorities is to introduce new bus services to serve developing areas: Burke Mountain, Dominion Triangle, Fremont Village (where Walmart and Costco are located) and connections to Surrey. If you like, you can leave feedback at https://www.translink.ca/feedback. Hope this helps! :)
More safe bike lanes!
We need more buses and service between Maple Ridge and Mission. The 701 should drop off before Haney Place..like at 240th.There are lots of people in Albion but the buses are not working at all!
