Transit Network Review proposes new service areas and more!
Transit Network Review proposes new service areas and more!
We’re inviting customers and neighbours across the region to have their say on potential transportation changes as part of our 2019 Transit Network Review!
It’s all part of our efforts to deliver a better transit system so it serves more people, supports areas of high ridership, provides transit options in growing areas, and delivers a basic level of transit access across Metro Vancouver.
Among the proposals in this review:
- Provide new service to three neighbourhoods: River District in Vancouver, East Fraser Heights, and 68th Ave Crosstown in Surrey
- Increase service along Fraser Highway before the proposed rapid transit project is approved and implemented
- Changes to the transit network to make certain routes more efficient and reliable, and provide better connections
- Redesign NightBus routes to Richmond and YVR, and provide transit service to YVR at all times
It’s important you take part.
The 2017 Transit Network Review informed the new bus routes in the Silver Valley, Clayton Heights, and Morgan Creek communities that launched in September 2017, and the decision to extend the 159 to Coquitlam Central Station.
No final decisions have been made. We’re considering these changes and asking for feedback now, so we can implement changes as part of our quarterly transit service changes that happen every spring, summer, fall, and winter.
Have your say in the Transit Network Review and help shape transit in your community. Taking the survey from April 2–18 at translink.ca/networkreview.
Please increase frequency of 345 and 375.
cheers,
mohit
Hi Mohit, the 345 and 375 routes are not part of the Transit Network Review engagement, but we’re always listening at https://www.translink.ca/feedback. I can also share that the 375 route is one of the routes identified for improvements in our 10-Year Vision: https://tenyearvision.translink.ca/Documents/10-year_vision_phase_2_investment_plan.pdf. Hope this helps! Have a great day.
It’s coming so close to my place! I seriously can’t wait to not take the bus to the train station every day lol
Please do not change 56851 408 as it is a regularily used stolen for early morning workers and moms if you have to omit maybe you can run it on pesk hours only as I use it daily and I already have a fair walk getting to this stop as I’m on kingbridge I would consider to use 405 but now this stop changed route too unfortunatly there is no other bus close for me and I already have over a hour commute getting from one end of rmd to the other
